Coldrum Long Barrow
Coldrum Long Barrow is the best preserved of the Medway megalithic tombs, a chambered long barrow raised by early Neolithic farmers around 4,000 BC. A ring of sarsen stones and the toppled remnants of a burial chamber sit on a low rise with sweeping views across the valley. It has long been a place of quiet pilgrimage, and people still tie offerings to the nearby trees.
