Braithwaite Hall
Braithwaite Hall is a 17th-century manor house tucked into Coverdale in the Yorkshire Dales, a couple of miles west of East Witton. Built in plain, hard-wearing local stone, it remains the centrepiece of a working hill farm rather than a polished showpiece. The setting is pure Dales: rolling pasture, drystone walls and big skies, with the house glimpsed across fields that have been farmed the same way for generations.
