Lodge Park and Sherborne Estate
Lodge Park is a showy Restoration-era grandstand, raised in the 1630s by the gambler John 'Crump' Dutton to watch deer coursing in style. The only surviving deer course of its kind in England stretches out before it, while the wider Sherborne Estate offers miles of walking through parkland, woods and water meadows along the River Windrush. The building's banqueting rooms and rooftop views recall a vanished sporting age.
