Litlington White Horse
The Litlington White Horse is a chalk hill figure carved into the steep western slope of Hindover Hill in the South Downs. The current prancing horse was cut in one overnight stint in 1924, replacing an earlier figure that had marked Queen Victoria's coronation. Bright against the green turf, it's one of only a couple of hill figures left in Sussex and a familiar landmark above the meandering Cuckmere.
