Greys Court
Greys Court sits in the Chiltern countryside near Henley-on-Thames, a comfortable Tudor manor grown up around the remains of a 14th-century fortified house. Surviving medieval towers and a great brick chimney stand among the gardens, alongside a Tudor donkey wheel once used to draw water. The walled gardens, ornamental maze and wide views over the valley make it an easy, unhurried afternoon.
