Eaves Wood
Eaves Wood spreads across Carboniferous limestone above Silverdale, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest rich in trees, fungi and wildflowers. Ash, hazel, sessile oak and small-leaved lime grow over outcrops of limestone pavement, sheltering one of the area's red squirrel populations. Paths climb to King William's Hill and the Pepperpot, a Victorian monument with views over the bay.
