Stembridge Mill, High Ham

⚙️ Mill📍 High Ham

Stembridge Mill at High Ham in Somerset is the last surviving thatched tower windmill in England, its distinctive cap and sails rising above the Somerset Levels like a throwback to another age. Built in the 18th century and used to grind grain for local farms, the mill's location on the edge of the limestone ridge gives sweeping views across the Levels towards Glastonbury Tor. It's a rare and quietly wonderful piece of vernacular industrial history.

Best for industrial history fans, photographers and lovers of the Somerset landscape.
