Hidcote
Hidcote Manor Garden in the Cotswolds is the creation of American horticulturalist Lawrence Johnston, who transformed a bare hilltop into a series of enchanting outdoor rooms from 1907 onwards. Each 'room', separated by tall hedges of yew and beech, holds its own mood and planting palette — from the dramatic Red Borders to intimate cottage-style enclosures. It is widely regarded as one of the most influential gardens of the twentieth century.
