Crom Estate
Crom is a sprawling nature reserve and demesne along the islanded shores of Upper Lough Erne in Fermanagh. The ruins of a 17th-century planter's castle, burnt in the 1760s, sit near the private neo-Tudor castle that replaced it, while ancient yew trees and species-rich grassland shelter abundant wildlife. Boat trips, woodland paths and water everywhere make this one of Ireland's most beautiful and tranquil estates.
